Ext4 now live, massively reduced filesystem check (fsck) times!

We are aware that some of our customers have experienced an extended
downtime due to lengthy filesystem checks (fsck) in the past. We are
pleased to announce that during the last maintenance cycle we have
converted all VPS servers to the ext4 filesystem, with the hope to
practically eliminate these long checks. In our testing we have seen the time to
perform a check reduced by up to 90%.

All servers will need to run a full filesystem check to reduce the time of
subsequent checks. The hardware node you reside on will automatically
optimize the next time it requires a full fsck. Once complete, you can
look forward to faster fscks in the future.

The move to ext4 will offer some other minor performance improvements as
well.
